But... what is CoreNote?

CoreNote is a free and open source note card studying software.

Compared to our competitors, CoreNote has tons of innovative (and 100% free) features.
Here's a couple:

- Several Card Formats
- Category Division Per Set
- Access to audio, images, videos, and other assets
- Math formula support
- Studier's inline comments
- Segmented and iterative studying
- Every set is editable (even if you don't own it)
- AND MORE

Page-Only System

There's no server required for CoreNote. Instead, it prioritizes doing things on your own device. Sets are shared via .corenote files (which are just renamed .zip files for those interested). This means you don't need an account (you can't even make an account if you wanted). All your data is yours.

HTML Cards

Internally, all cards are just HTML pages. CoreNote fully supports you taking the HTML and coding it yourself, over using the default editor. This allows for an infinite amount of creativity (such as utilizing phone sensors and geolocation).

For security reasons, please only use CoreNote cards you trust or verified yourself. An insecure CoreNote set probably won't give you a virus. At worst, it might give some random guy your IP address (or location, but only if you gave permission in the first place).

100% Customizable

There's TONS of settings you can change while studying. Some examples are autoscroll, segmenting, TTS, answer sorting, etc.

Settings

To mark wrong:

Turn your phone counterclockwise, then a bit clockwise, then more counterclockwise.

To mark correct:

Turn your phone clockwise, then a bit counterclockwise, then more clockwise.

To flip the card:

Quickly turn your phone towards your face (or the floor), then back (aka, pitch).

Default Study Settings

These apply to all sets you study by default.

Segmented Study Settings

Segmented/Iterative Studying is a technique where you master a small segment of terms (e.g., 5) at a time. After you nail that segment, you move on to the next segment. Not all sets works well with Segmented Studying, but a lot do.
